I love making Nubbins! |

I grew up in Ohio the first seven years of my life surrounded by cornfields. Nubbins are the little stunted ears of corn that never grew up - I call them the babies! The Nubbins I make now are all about the babies! Generating this craft from a pair of socks also reminds me of a simpler time, venturing down a long row of corn and traveling back in time to those primitive ranch style days when families "made-do" with what they had. Mom knitting a pair of socks may have thought one day... well I could re-style these to make an outfit for baby. I appreciate the simple things in life. I have 5 of children, 2 boys and 3 girls. My husbands grandfather, Jack, has called his grandchildren and now calls his great-grandchildren "Nubbins". I would like to thank my family and friends for all the encouragement with my homemade business of Nubbins, especially my husband. If it wasn't for him this Nubbin site wouldn't exist! I pride his talent in web design.
