Like "Tent and Awning" , "My Preggie Panties", or "Circus Tent" - Have her sit with eyes closed and slip them over her ankles then help her to stand and raise them up around her - and "TA DA" open your eyes!! hahaha!

Who will Baby be like???

Each guest is given a sheet of paper with characteristics such as, eyes, hair, mouth, ears, nose, favorite sport, intelligence, and height, etc... get creative! The guests are then asked to write moms name or dads name next to each characteristic. Also have mom-to-be fill one out as well. Then whoever has the most answers to match hers WINS! (have 2 prizes handy for guests who may possibly tie)

Guessing the baby goodies!

Take baby items, such as nail clippers, pacifier, diaper, baby spoon, diaper pin, teething ring - etc... and place them into their own manilla envelope then number all the envelopes. Pass out a blank list with the same amount of numbers to each guest. Then pass the envelopes around so they all get the chance to feel and shake each envelope to guess the baby goodie! Check all the lists and see who guessed the most right for a PRIZE!

Gum Baby

Everyone sits in a circle and set a timer anywhere from 45 seconds to a minute - Hand out a piece of bubble-licious bubble gum which they can hold over their heads. On your marks get set GO! To the best of their ability they will all attempt to mold a baby! A boy baby is pretty funny! After time is up - the one who's shape appears to be most like a baby WINS!

Remember "Pin the Tail on the Donkey?"

Here are perfect games for a baby shower similar to this old classic! Get a poster board to create your target area (tailess donkey) and some foam style paper, or other thicker firmer paper to create your "pinning" object (tail). You may get as creative as you'd like on this! Here's some great suggestions from others who have played this: On your poster board sketch out mommy with her arms cradled but yet empty, you can place her in any setting such as hospital room lying in bed, kitchen, park or wherever - you can cut pictures out of magazines to decorate with! then out of foam, construction, or even painted cardboard make cute little babies with sticky tape on the back ready to pin in mommy's arms by the blindfolded player! Or draw a crying baby with mouth open wide on your posterboard and make cute pacifiers, bottles, or sippy-cups out of your other paper with sticky backing ready to plug into baby's mouth! Or just do a simple preggie belly outline on your posterboard and make simple dots out of your other paper and it can be "pin the belly button on the preggie belly!" Have fun!

Kick Me

The age old prankster writes "kick me" on a piece of paper and tapes it to your back! Were talking kicks of laughter here - each guest that arrives will receive a piece of paper or index card with one word written on it. The word is baby related - it may be: umbilical cord, diaper, rattle, bib, blanket - the list goes on... this word is a mystery and proves to be a great ice breaker because they will have to rely on hints given by asking only yes or no questions to other guests! The first person to guess their word gets a prize!

Pacifier Passing Game

Divide guests into 2 teams - making 2 lines. Give each guest a chopstick and the first person in the line a pacifier. The players place the chopsticks in their mouths and ready, set, GO they try and pass the pacifier down their lines from one chopstick to the next without using their hands. If anyone drops the pacifier they need to pick it up and put it back on their chopstick. The first team to successfully place the pacifier on the chopstick of the last person in line wins a prize for each member of their team! You may use lollypops instead of chopsticks. And if your crowd is smaller the pacifier can travel down the team line and back up to the front again to be the winner!

All Dressed Up

Get two larger sized baby dolls along with the same style of outfits for each like: pants, shirt, socks & shoes, include a bib too! Place them upon a table unclothed and place next to them their clothing. Divide all guests into 2 teams and have them line up in front of each dolly. Pair up every 2 people in each team - any single person can play with someone who has already played. The paired up players will hold one hand behind their back, which would be the hand next to their partners, so they both would be using their outside hands and with these will begin dressing the baby after someone yells "GO!" They will need to put only one item on baby then go to the back of the line. The next pair will do the same, put one other item on. The first team to successfully have baby completely dressed wins a prize for the whole team! You could have a folded baby blanket for the last pair to wrap baby in to complete the process! What FUN!

Rock the Baby

Have all the guests sit in a circle and hand a baby doll to one of them. Mom to be can sit facing away from the circle and sing rock-a-bye baby... each guest will rock the baby back and forth anywhere from 1 - 3 times you decide how many then pass the baby to the next person. When mom stops singing whoever is holding the baby will have to leave the circle. This continues till only one guest is left who will be the WINNER!

Diaper Bag Guessing Game

Fill a diaper bag with lots of baby goodies and neccessities and find out how good mom-to-be's sense of touch is... let everyone know that she will be guessing and have each guest write down their guess of how many items she will guess right. Then blindfold mom-to-be and have her try and identify all the items she finds inside the bag. The guest who guesses closest to the number that mom identifies correctly wins a prize and the diaper bag with all the items will be put to good use in the very near future by the guest of honor!

I'm a Poet and didn't know it!

Pass paper & pen out to all guests and give a 10 minute or so time frame for some creative writing! Whether it rymes or not let it be about the mom-to-be! Short but sweet - fun and neat! No masterpieces are expected but the winners are determined by mom-to-be after she reads each. You can have different prize winning categories like: most funny, most corny, most sentimental etc..

Who wore What?!

Ask each guest to bring a small baby related item - when they arrive to the shower pin what they have to their shirts or tie a ribbon around it and make a necklace, however its done have them wearing it. You may determine how long after the party has begun to go about collecting all the items from the guests and placing them in a basket, then putting it out of sight. Give everyone a list of all the guests and have them write down next to each what they were wearing! After they all have finished get the basket of items and pass it around as each guest will take out what they were wearing. The person who guessed the most right WINS! and all the baby goodies go back into the basket and presented to mom-to-be!

Don’t forget Dad-to-be

If dad is attending the shower have him write down his birth weight on a large balloon and place it under his shirt. Then have everyone write down their names and guesses of dad's birth weight. He reads the guesses aloud then "gives birth" to reveal the correct answer. The player with the closest guess WINS a prize and the "baby" balloon!

Bobbing for Cotton Balls

Fill a large sized bowl with cotton balls and dab up the players nose with some petroleum jelly, or if guests don’t mind maybe some syrup or honey. Give them one minute to stick their nose down in the bowl and bob around for as many cotton balls that will stick to them. After bobbing around they can shake off whats on them onto a plastic covered area next to the bowl, or try and blow them off, but they cant use their hands - then they can go back for some more bobbing! Player who bobs the most cotton balls in their one minute time frame is the WINNER!

Mix and Match

Divide guests in half into two groups and hand out paper & pen to all. Each guest in group #1 will write down something baby-to-be will do by a certain age by finishing this sentence: "By age (blank), your baby will..." Tell this group not to tell how baby will do it, and offer this example "By age 15 months your baby will learn to like the taste of brocoli.." Have members from group #2 write down how their "significant other" does something disgusting or embarrassing. If they are single they can use a close family member or friend. Have them start with the word "by" and then describe the action. Ask this group to only write down how its done, and offer an example like: "...by sniffing his underarms in public." When all have finished, choose one person from both groups. Have the guest from group #1 read her prediction, followed immediately by the person in group #2 reading their finish to the sentence! Take time to have the embarrassing behavior explained. When all combinations have been read - then mom-to-be picks the funniest sentence with the two who created it being the WINNERS!! What a crack up!

Little Baby Animals

This game is played by matching animals to the baby name of that animal. Like Cow = calf. It can be played one of two ways. One you can list the names of the animals and then the baby names in a list on the opposite side of the page all mixed up so guests can draw a line to its match and it can be timed. Or two Read the list aloud and have guests write the name of the animal then write what they think the baby name is next to it and whoever gets the most right WINS! Here's the list:

The Rolling Pin Game

Have all guests stand in a circle. Having mom-to-be nearby with her back turned away from circle or blindfolded sitting next to a radio or CD player hitting stop and play as she wishes. Whoever has the rolling pin between their knees when the music stops has to get out of the game. Start up the music again and repeat the process till one person is standing - they WIN! This is a lot fun!

Penny in the Bottle

Have everyone line up at a starting line.. and put a baby bottle about 12 feet away or so. Take the cap and nipple off of the bottle and grab a penny! The players will need to put the penny between their knees and waddle over to the baby bottle and drop it inside. Whoever can do this WINS! If there is a tie, have them do it over again to get the winner or give them both a prize.

Guest Art Display

Great ice breaker game!

Tag all your guests with a name tag and also write down their names on separate little pieces of paper - these you'll put in a small basket. Pass around a sheet of paper and a small packet of crayons to all guests then the basket and have them pick a name. They will then draw that guest! If some guests are meeting others for the first time you can go around the room at this point and have everyone just say their first name. Nobody can say which name they drew or stare at their subject too much as to give it away who's drawing who. There's no time limit on all the artists in the room. Have a list of guests names and when you go to collect all the portraits created - number them and then put that same number next to guests name on your list and discard the little paper of guests name. Hang all the masterpieces up anywhere for viewing, whether its on the wall or a clothesline across the room somewhere and have them in order from 1 to ? however many you have. "What's the best position for burping baby?" "How do get baby to sleep through the night?" Then collect all the cards, shuffle them and redistribute them face down so nobody sees the question - tell them not to look. Make sure no one gets their own question card. Have them all write down the answer to their question on the backside of the second card passed out. Then read the cards! Its such a blast! For example one cards question may be "How do you know if you folded a cloth diaper in the correct fashion?" and the answer on the other side may be "When you get your first smile."

Egg Babies

Hard boil enough eggs to give each guest one when they arrive. Let them know this is their egg baby and they can care for it throughout the party, they may have it babysat by another guest for a while, and they need to name it. You can have a craft area where they can decorate their baby or pass out supplies to do this. Have them draw a baby face on it and write the name they came up with for baby egg on the back. You can display them for mom-to-be so she can choose her favorite and hold it up for all to see and read the back to announce the baby eggs name to be the winner. 15. We're ending this rhyme, this is the last poem, the centerpiece on your table is yours to take home.

The Left Right Baby Shower Game

All baby shower guests sit in a circle. Give one of the guests a wrapped gift. Then read the following story. The guests pass the gift to the person on either their right or left, depending on what is said in the story. Each time the reader says RIGHT, the gift would be passed to the RIGHT, likewise, when LEFT is said, the gift is passed to the LEFT... Whoever has the gift by the end of the story, wins the gift!

Mr. WRIGHT prepared to take Mrs. WRIGHT RIGHT to the hospital as she just went into labor. As he LEFT in the car, he turned RIGHT out of the driveway. He had to go RIGHT back home because he LEFT Mrs. WRIGHT at home. They both got in the car on the LEFT side as the RIGHT side door wouldn't open. Mr. and Mrs. WRIGHT again LEFT for the hospital, turning RIGHT out of the driveway. An argument occurred about the RIGHT turn, as Mrs. WRIGHT said that Mr. WRIGHT should have turned LEFT. Mr. WRIGHT kept insisting that he was absolutely RIGHT, but Mrs. WRIGHT kept insisting that the hospital entrance was on the LEFT. Two blocks away after another LEFT turn they discovered they had LEFT Mrs. WRIGHT’s over night bag at home. So they made a LEFT turn, then a RIGHT to go back home to where they had LEFT the bag. As they turned RIGHT on to their street, Mrs. WRIGHT said "Let's just go RIGHT to the hospital and send someone else RIGHT to the house for the fact that we LEFT the bag on the couch". They went LEFT at the next block and turned RIGHT back around. Finally at the hospital Mr. WRIGHT pulled up to the front where he LEFT his wife to go RIGHT in. Inside the hospital they wheeled Mrs. WRIGHT away. “Where is my fie? I only LEFT her for a minute!” Exclaimed Mr. WRIGHT. A nurse rushed him RIGHT down the hall, they made a LEFT turn, then a RIGHT, and a LEFT turn again. Mr. WRIGHT, found Mrs. WRIGHT already in delivery. But he then realized that he had LEFT the video camera in the car. RIGHT away he ran out of the room and back to the car. Not only had he LEFT the camera but he had LEFT the lights on too. Mr. WRIGHT wasted no time, her ran RIGHT back to his wife’s room. As Mr. WRIGHT walked in all he heard was screams from his wife because he had LEFT her room and was no where in sight. I’m sure you can guess what happened next. As Mrs. WRIGHT had the baby Mr. WRIGHT passed out on the floor. But when he came to he got a shock once more. For there he saw Mrs. WRIGHT embracing their new little bundles of joy. With two babies on her LEFT and one on the Right, Mrs. WRIGHT turned to her husband and said “there is one thing LEFT to do, I think we should name these WRIGHT babies, how about you?

Pass the Potato Game

Have mom-to-be sit in a chair blind folded or with eyes closed. Now all guests form a circle around her. Put a little radio/boom box or music box – anything that makes noise that she can turn off and on (even a baby toy). Have her turn it on and start passing the potato! When she turns it off the one who has the potato has to exit the circle – she’s out. Continue this until there are two standing, now next to mom instead of a circle. The one left standing with no potato WINS!!!

Number 2 in the diaper eewww!

For this game to be played at baby's shower you will need to purchase 8-10 different kinds of candy bars. You will also need the same amount of diapers. Heat each candy bar separately in the microwave until melted and smear all the contents in each diaper. Label diapers with A,B,C or 1,2,3 and copy this to a list which will include what kind of candy bar was placed in diaper A or diaper 1, and so on. Pass around all the diapers to each guest and provide them with paper & pen. Have them inspect each diaper and write each labeled diaper down with their best guess next to it. No taste testing allowed and the one who guesses the most right WINS! Give them a bouquet of candy bars wrapped in ribbon!

Leg Crossing Not Allowed Game

Instead of pinning a diaper pin or clothes pin to all your guests make some cute necklaces! Everyone wears one and if anyone sees a fellow attendee crossing their legs they get to steal their necklace! So be aware to stare and aware of your lounging legs! Here's how to make some necklaces that are really easy and don't cost much! Yarn or ribbon will work well and buy some lifesavers, jelly beans and glue. Take two lifesavers and glue one onto the top of another but in a crisscross manner - one edge to the others center. The one lifesaver that you used as the edge into the center of the other acts as the handle. On the opposite center of the other you will glue a jelly bean! It looks like a pacifier! Now thread your yarn or ribbon in through the handle! Make enough for all guests to wear! This is really fun!

You can make this game trickier by having about 8 jars and by two's pick the same colors like oranges - sweet potatoes and carrots. Greens - peas and green beans or spinach. Yellows - banana's and custard. Then not allowing any tasting or smelling - see how many can guess then!

Baby Sculptures Game

Then everyone will need to make a list of what they just viewed, trying to remember all items and listing them on paper. The guest with the most WINS! What's also fun is if you just pretend like you'll be playing this game and after the basket gets passed around have mom-to-be leave the room with it and stay gone. Now instead of asking guests to write down what they remember seeing in the basket they will write down any details they remember about mom-to-be. What she was wearing, hairstyle, jewelry, make-up, shoes, etc. See how many right guesses you have from each guest to determine the WINNER!

See how many clothes pins the player can grasp and hold with that one hand. Once they drop one they stop and count how many they have. The player with the most recorded WINS.

Cotton Ball Game

Get two big bowls and fill one up to the top with cotton balls. Then blindfold the guest playing this game and hand them a big heavy metal serving spoon and tell them to scoop all the cotton balls from the bowl that's filled up over to the empty bowl. All the guest will feel is the weight of the spoon and not know if there's any cotton balls even on the spoon! This is a funny and challenging game. Whoever gets the most cotton balls into the empty bowl WINS.

Mini Gift Guessing Game

Ask all the guests to bring a small baby item to the shower, like a bib, pacifier, diaper pins, rattle or teether toy. If its possible have them clip it to their shirts or wear it around their necks with yarn. After everyone is seated have them remove their item and pass a basket around to accumulate all items. Now hand out a list of all guests attending and have everyone write down what item they remember each guest wearing. This is a great game for everyone to get to know each other. Whoever guesses the most right WINS.

Purse Items for a Prize

Make a list of the typical items that most women carry in their purses, and make a point system. Fewer points for the typical items and higher points for maybe not so typical items but yet items that are carried. Call out your list at the shower and give the points out! The one who has the most WINS.

Don't Puncture the Membranes!

Have all contestants line up for this game side by side and pass to each a water balloon. They all must race for the finish line with the water balloon held between their knees. The first to finish WINS.
